Bank of Ireland Provincial Towns Cup 2025-2026

 

The draw for the 1st round of the Bank of Ireland Provincial Towns Cup took place yesterday evening, 26th November, in Athy RFC. There are 27 clubs entering the 2025-2026 competition, which is the 99th renewal. The five highest ranked teams received a bye into the second round with the other 22 teams facing off for the remaining 12 spots. The five teams who move straight into the 2nd round are, Tullow RFC, Boyne RFC, Tullamore RFC, Wicklow RFC and the reigning champions, Athy RFC.

Bank of Ireland Provincial Towns Cup 1st round draw is as follows:

  • North Kildare RFC vs Longford RFC
  • Portlaoise RFC vs Portarlington RFC
  • Roscrea RFC vs Mullingar RFC  
  • Skerries RFC 2nd XV vs Wexford Wanderers RFC
  • Navan RFC 2nd XV vs Edenderry RFC
  • Ashbourne RFC vs Naas RFC 2nd XV
  • Dundalk RFC v Gorey RFC
  • Kilkenny RFC vs Enniscorthy RFC 2nd XV
  • Co Carlow FC vs New Ross RFC
  • Cill Dara RFC vs Balbriggan RFC
  • Newbridge RFC vs Clondalkin RFC

All 1st round games will be played on Sunday 25th of January kicking off at 2:30pm with the first listed team securing home advantage.
