LRFC was first formed 148 years ago, in 1877, reformed in 1967 

• LRFC is the only Rugby Club in County Longford – servicing also the satellite communities of Co. Leitrim, Co. Roscommon, Co. Cavan & Co. Westmeath
• We have over 500 playing members and a further 1,500 general Club members
• Rugby representation at Senior Mens, Senior Ladies, Youths & Minis levels
• Widely regarded as having among the best On & Off Field facilities across the Irish Rugby landscape
• Ambitious future plans including the addition of a 350 sq metre, state of the art Gym facility, available to members and sponsor employees
• Community oriented, working in partnership to offer our facilities to both the GAA & FAI sporting networks locally – Gaelic Football & Soccer played weekly at the Club
• Average over 2,000 visitors to the Club every week;
  Rugby, soccer and Gaelic football players, Spectators, parents Corporate guests of the Conference facilities, Private functions in our bar & restaurant, Visiting players & management from both GAA & Soccer circles
