Following last Sunday's cup match, IT Carlow have been removed from the cup competition for fielding ineligible players. It means that Longford 2nd XV now advance to the second round where they will face Dundalk at home.

Longford RFC Senior Coaching Staff


   Longford RFC have finalised their coaching teams for the various senior squads for this season. 

Colm Glynn

Former club captain Colm Glynn (pictured left) will be taking on the role of head coach for the 2009/10 season, and he will be assisted by Roy Davis.

The 2nd XV squad will be managed by Victor Connell, with the coaching duties shared by Willie Hall, Roy Davis and David Bird.

The 3rd XV squad will be coached by Gavin Belton and Johnny Killane.

Membership

All players please note

Rugby membership is now due for the coming season. It's important for all players of all grades to renew as non-payment means that you can't play for the club, owing to insurance reasons. The membership is as follows: €100 for senior players; €50 for non-playing members (including coaches); €25 for students.

Membership is payable to Victor Connell, Membership Secretary, or to any of the following - 1st XV: Martin Maguire (President); Ronan Keith (Captain); Michael Murphy. 2nd XV: Victor Connell, David Kearney, Mark Noble. 3rd XV: Thomas Lyons, Derick Turner. Women's Membership payable to: Lisa Brady. Membership includes Insurance.
