Auld Blacks function details released for March 20th
The Longford Auld Blacks are pleased to confirm the details for the forthcoming Gala Luncheon at the famous Mansion House Round Room prior to Irelands final Six Nations outing versus Scotland at Croke Park on March 20th.
As you probably have heard over the past few months, Longford Rugby Club identified a need for a medium through which former players could keep in contact with each other and from this the Auld Blacks were born.
Through the Auld Blacks, not only are former players encouraged to join up, but also anyone who has/had in the past an association with the club.
As a centrepiece to the Auld Blacks calendar the inaugural Auld Blacks Awards are going to be held on March 20th at 1pm in the famous Round Room of Dublins Mansion House.
Up to 600 Longfordians are going to be there and we sincerely hope you will be one of them!
A fabulous day out is in place as follows: 1pm - 3 Course Luncheon (including wine) at the Mansion House. After Lunch ceremony will be hosted by Chasing The Lions star Hector Ó hEochagáin with the aid of a former International from both Ireland and Scotland. As part of the after lunch activities both the inaugural Longford Auld Blacks Hall of Fame Award to a former player will be presented as well as the Longford Auld Blacks Outstanding Club Contribution Award to a Club Servant whose dedication and effort to the Club and its success will be formally recognised. Circa 4pm - Depart for match at Croke Park Circa 7pm - Return to the Round Room for Post Match festivities with the Mansion House Jazz Band late into the night!

Tables are available in tables of 10 for those interested.
Already the Auld Blacks have received a substantial number of full table bookings and a limited number of seats are still available for the event. A first come, first served policy is in place so dont be disappointed.
