RSS Feeds

1. What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and it is a very effective way of keeping up-to-date with the latest information on the our website. Rather than visit our site to find out if new content has been added, RSS will tell you when the new stories that you want are available by delivering them directly to you.

2. Getting started with RSS?
Generally, the first thing you need is a ready-made programme called a newsreader, which is no harder to use than email or web browsers. Most newsreaders are applications that are downloaded from the Web and installed on your computer.

There are many different types of newsreaders available for download (remember to select a newsreader that will work with your operating system):
Windows

* Newz Crawler
* FeedDemon
* Awasu

Mac OS X

* Newsfire
* NetNewsWire

If you don't want to download newsreader software, you can simply visit a website that acts as a reader such as www.feedster.com or my.yahoo.com

Finally, there are some browsers, including Firefox and Opera, which automatically detect RSS feeds for you and also allow you to "bookmark" them. More details are available on their websites.

3. How do I use RSS to get information?
Once you have installed a newsreader, then you can decide what content you want. If you would like the latest News, for instance, click the News link below.

Membership 2010/11

All players please note

Rugby membership is now due for the coming season, 2010/11. It's important for all players of all grades to renew as non-payment means that you can't play for the club, owing to insurance reasons. The membership is as follows: €120 for senior players; €60 for non-playing members (including coaches); €60 for students. Mini/Youths €30 (where there are three or more children from the same family, €75).

Membership is payable to Donal Considine, Membership Secretary, or to the appointed member of your team or committee
