The President, Board and Members of Longford RFC would like to extend their deepest sympathies to the family of former player Pat Higgins, who passed away in London last week. Pat’s Father Syl was the second President of the club after it reformed in 1967. The picture below features Pat before a Towns Cup match against favourites Navan. Longford very nearly caused the upset of the round losing out in a tight game to Navan.  Dundalk beat Navan in the final.
