Senior Men in Cup Semi-Final/Promotion Playoff, Senior Women's Cup Draw & Mini/Youth Fixtures

Senior Men

Longford won through to the Semi-Finals of the Provincial Towns Cup with a great 20-07 win versus Kilkenny.  This sets up an exciting few weeks as Longford’s remaining matches are winner takes all encounters.  First up is a Promotion Playoff versus Bective in North Kildare on Saturday March 30th at 1 PM in North Kildare RFC.  Longford drew Wicklow in the Cup Semi-Final, which will take place on Sunday April 7th at a neutral venue that will be confirmed this week.  Thank you to everyone who turned out yesterday to support Longford.  CPL Park was well and truly rocking!  We ask as many of our members and friends to support us in the next two matches.  The Promotion Play-Off is a handy stop off for anyone travelling to Leinster v Ulster in the Champions Cup Quarter Final in Lansdowne Road later in the day.  You can see Senior Men's Captain Neal Farrell pictured with our Great Mascot, Adam Pym.

Longford Women (Warriors)

Longford Women had last weekend off.  The team has really improved as the season has progressed and are well worth your support.  Longford Women were drawn at home against Port Dara Falcons on Sunday March 31st in the First Round of the Paul Cusack Cup.  The team will be training hard to try and convert their great end of season form into a cup run!

Longford Mini/Youths

Longford Minis/Youths did a great job representing Longford RFC in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.  They had two very special guests with them, the Champions Cup and the Pro 14 Cup courtesy of Leinster rugby. It is not too late to start playing Mini/Youth rugby.  Longford RFC welcome new players at all levels both boys/girls with no previous experience necessary.  Training times and Fixtures can be found on www.longfordrugby.com or at https://goo.gl/qAVBPv

The U17 League, U18 League and U18 Darcy Cup Trophies, which were recently returned after a season in Longford!
