An historic day beckons this Thursday March 8^th, with all roads leading to Donnybrook for the Leinster Senior Development Finals.

Moyne Community School take on Presentation De La Salle, Bagenalstown in the Senior Development Plate Final at 11 am.

This is followed by St. Mel’s College taking on Patrician College, Newbridge in the Ann McInerney (Senior Development Cup) Final at 1 PM.

Many of the players involved have come up through the Longford Rugby Club ranks.  We wish them the best of luck and hope both sides will be bringing silverware back to Longford.

A special mention to Stephen Coy Junior, who is Longford RFCs development officer and will be coaching both sides.  He has done great work in many schools in Longford.

Any Longfordian’s in Dublin would be encouraged to lend them their support along with the undoubted travelling contingent from the County.
