Both Longford Mens teams face trips to Wexford in the cup

The draw for the 2018 Bank of Ireland Provincial Towns Cup was held in Naas RFC at 5pm last Sunday (January 21).
Longford were interested in how all the first round fixtures panned out having been one of three sides who received a bye. The draw threw up Enniscorthy, the Towns Cup champions in 2015, who won out over Midland Warriors at Mullingar RFC. The matches will take place on Sunday February 11th.
Longford Development XV also face a trip to Wexford to face Gorey in the Provincial Seconds Towns Cup on Sunday February 4th (both 15:00 KO's)
Holders Tullow made it through to the 2nd Round of the 2018 Bank of Ireland Provincial Towns Cup after a hard-fought win over Naas RFC in Kildare. Their reward is a home tie against Wexford Wanderers who were convincing winners over Balbriggan in the opening round.
The 2016 Towns Cup champions, Wicklow, recorded a big win over Mullingar. They will face the winner of the postponed tie between Dundalk and North Kildare in the 2nd Round. New Ross, Gorey, Clondalkin and Cill Dara all booked their place in the 2nd Round draw with home wins.
The draw for the 2nd round of the Bank of Ireland Provincial Towns Cup are:
Wicklow v Dundalk or North Kildare
Ashbourne v Kilkenny or Boyne
Portlaoise or Navan v Skerries or Newbridge
Cill Dara v Portarlington
Gorey v Tullamore or Athy
Enniscorthy v Longford
Clondalkin v New Ross
Tullow v Wexford Wanderers
2nd round games to be played on Sunday 11th February at 3:00 pm.
Home ties are confirmed for Cill Dara, Enniscorthy, Clondalkin and Tullow while the remaining four home teams will be decided after the outcome of the five 1st round games which were postponed today. Those 1st round refixtures are as follows:
