Longford RFC Golf Classic

The Club are holding a fundraising golf classic in Longford Golf Club on Saturday the 3rd September. Teams of 4 cost €160, if you would like to take part please contact Derick Turner on 086 2559624 or Mark Quinn om 085 8642266 to book your place on the time sheet.
If you cannot play on the day you might consider sponsorship of a tee or green at €50.
The golf will be followed on the Saturday evening by meal,entertainment and presentation of prizes in the Sin Bin at Longford Rugby Club.

1st XV Pre-Season Fixtures

Hard to believe but rugby is back with us. In the lead up to the start of the Leinster League there are a number of upcoming games kicking off this Saturday evening when we travel to Monivea for a 4.30 kick off. On Sunday the 28th we are due to entertain Birr in the Midland league followed by a trip to Edenderry the following Sunday with both games due to kick off at 3 pm while on the 10th September we are due to entertain Div 1 A side Monkstown.

 

The squad for the season is looking strong with a number of players coming back into the Club to bolster the team that played so well from Christmas on and were very unlucky with the final outcome of the season.

 

It is hoped that you will all continue to support the Club and that you will come along to the matches especially the Leinster League games where a vocal crowd can really become the 16th man.  Our first Leinster League match is away to Portarlington on Sunday September 25th at 3 PM with the 2nd XV kicking off at 1.30 PM
