Victor Connell suffered a serious spinal injury while playing for Longford RFC 1st XV in October 2005 that left him requiring assistance for the rest of his life.
A trust fund was set up by the club and during 2006, we undertook a number of fundraising events, including a race night, a mid-summers ball in Tullynally Castle and a major collection before the Ireland vs. Scotland Six Nations game in Lansdowne Road.
The club and Victor would like to sincerely thank everyone who gave so generously to the fund.
